The push for a National ID card in the modern era started back in the 80's during the Reagan administration. Reagan, being the type of man he was, knew exactly what this would lead to and flat out rejected the concept. It was brought up in the Clinton administration as well, and while opposition to it was not as strong as Reagan's, Clinton also did not sign off on a National ID card. Unfortunately, though the times have changed, I feel we can no longer trust our Federal government to operate in our best interest; it has severely broken with the Constitution and the ideals that founded this union. After 9/11 everyone was scared, angry, wanted protection from terrorism, and in that hysteria, most people did not care what it was or how it worked. As a result we got the PATRIOT Act written two years before 9/11 that gives the government the authority, among other things, to enter your house when you're not there and to take anything. It's called a "sneak and peak" (and they say trust us on healthcare). The Military Commission Act (MCA) was passed that has language so vague that it could catch average citizens in the category of a "threat" to the government and warrant the same treatment our government gives terrorists. During the process of making us safer a National ID card also became law in 2005 that was tacked onto a tsunami relief and military spending bill as a national security measure meant to guard against terrorism, illegal immigration and identity theft. Being attached to the type of bill that it was guaranteed no opposition, and so it sailed right through Congress straight to the President where it became law.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I will now remind everyone at this juncture what a couple of founding fathers has to say about Liberty and Security:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    "I would rather be exposed to the inconveniencies attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    -Thomas Jefferson&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    "Those willing to sacrifice Liberty for Security will get neither and deserve neither"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    -Benjamin Franklin&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The issue of REAL ID and all it entails is too complex to give in this medium, but I will give a brief overview and then direct you to a few sites where you can get all the dirty details. REAL ID is not just a National ID card but much more as it is an INTERNATIONAL ID card. When REAL ID became law, DHS had a non-negotiated rule making process, and so they inserted international regulations. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a UN agency, are the ones charged with setting the ISOs for identification programs of the various participating countries, and there are a lot that are participating. The American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) will be the entity that will see to the implementation of REAL ID. AAMVA is American in name only. As they state on their website they are an international organization. Then there are the corporations, most prominently, a company called L1-Identity Solutions. This corporation has a monopoly on identification cards (i.e. drivers licenses) like Microsoft does on computer operating systems.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The required data on these cards will not just be our physical attributes for identification purposes but our religious, political, educational, medical, financial, sexual, firearms, and biometric data will be on this card. Considering the fact that all our information will be on this card and that the state DMV databases will have to be linked and consolidated, the information will be held primarily by one corporation, and our government will be sharing it with any "nation" of the world such as Canada, England, Mexico, Australia, Russia, China, or Iran to name very few. There is no possible way for our information to remain secure. The more information or data on us that is compiled and shared, the more likely it will be stolen (130 million credit card numbers stolen). Note that one of the pieces of data that will be collected is biometric. When most people think biometric, they think fingerprints, iris scans, DNA; however, the biometric of choice is facial recognition because it can be taken without your knowledge or consent. A mathematical algorithm will be used based on your facial features to assign you a specific number. Law enforcement personnel do not need numbers to identify you, but a camera and computer surely does, and we are well on our way to being a surveillance society more than you think we are.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hopefully, after reading up to this point you can see the multiple violations to the US Constitution, but just in case you haven't, I'll give a quick rundown for you:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    * REAL ID violates the 1st Amendment in regard to religion. If you are a Christian as mentioned in Revelation 13 of the Bible, we will all be forced one day to have the Mark of the Beast (MOB.) SSN was not that as it is a US voluntary benefit program (yes, it is); whereas with the international regulations, REAL ID is the precursor to something that will apply to the entire world, like the MOB. The Amish and Mennonites are opposed to having their image taken in certain instances.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    * REAL ID violates the 4th Amendment as we have the right not to have any of our information taken, let alone biometric data without our consent or warrant. REAL ID is a blatant violation of our right to privacy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;    * REAL ID violates the 10th Amendment as there is no provision in the Constitution for the Federal government to dictate to the state how they should issue drivers licenses or ID cards. As it stands right now, it is an unfunded mandate that will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $11-$20 BILLION dollars just to implement. They have absolutely no clue how much this is going to cost us and in the current economy, we just can't afford a program such as this that violates our Civil Liberties. This not only violates State's Sovereignty but the Sovereignty of this Union with the international regulations.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There has been a growing effort within the States to fight REAL ID; the ACLU and the ACLJ, two organizations normally opposed to each other are united in their opposition to REAL ID. Because of this opposition the Federal government had to push back the implementation date of May 11th, 2008 to December 31st, 2009. Last year in Kentucky we had Democrats and Republicans sponsor legislation together against REAL ID in the Senate and House. Unfortunately only the House version passed when both needed to. Hopefully this year we can pass anti-REAL ID legislation and the Sovereignty resolution to protect the Citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Recently the Obama administration along with the help of Senators Lieberman and McCain has pushed for the passage of the PASS ACT S.1261. There has been so much opposition they are literally trying to rebrand it, but it is the same thing. There is still biometrics, international regulations, and a non-negotiated rule making process for DHS. Considering the recent DHS reports commissioned by the Bush Administration and released by Obama Administration blatantly condemning the left (anti-war, environmentalists, and animal rights activists) and the right (pro-gun, pro-life, anti-illegal immigration) the American public should have serious concerns about their Civil Liberties. Agree or disagree with their politics take a moment to watch these two videos of Judge Andrew Napolitano and Rachel Maddow. Now after viewing those two videos it is plain to see we don't have a government we can trust, and REAL ID, coupled with technology becomes REALLY DANGEROUS as the government will eventually know everything about you and where you go and what you're doing, like going to TEA Parties and Town Hall meetings. Considering that terrorists and illegals will not apply for a REAL ID/PASS ID/NATIONAL ID/INTERNATIONAL ID; just who does the government really consider the threat and who are they really protecting, us or them. It is time for us to realize that this is not conservatives vs. liberals but the US Citizens vs. the Political Elite in our government, federal and state.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is so much more to REAL ID that I just cannot cover it all in a brief piece. REAL ID will REMAIN Federal law and will be stronger than before if passed. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle"&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 115%;font-size:12;" &gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;Both the &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i style=""&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 112, 192);font-size:16;" &gt;ACLU&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt; and the &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i style=""&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 112, 192);font-size:16;" &gt;ACLJ&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt; are opposing the Real ID Act and the PASS Act.   &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;i style=""&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;(The ACLU and the ACLJ are the most prominent legal organizations on the ”left” and “right” respectively.)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i style=""&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;Special interests groups are trying to force Democrats, Independents and Republicans to support this legislation.  States have been and are working to ensure driver’s licenses are secure documents and have document integrity.  The federal government, in spite of the states, wants to set &lt;b style=""&gt;international standards&lt;/b&gt; that are not needed.  The federal government wants control of your state driver’s license.  The federal government is bribing states to go along with its plans.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;Our freedom and our rights are not for sale.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b style=""&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;Some governors want to take the bribe money.  &lt;b&gt;The First, Fourth and Tenth Amendments are under attack.&lt;/b&gt;  &lt;b&gt;The Second Amendment will follow&lt;/b&gt;.  This is not a partisan issue.  All Americans must take action now.  &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Symbol;font-size:12;"  &gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;·&lt;span style=";font-family:&amp;quot;;font-size:7;"  &gt;         &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;The PASS Act does &lt;span style=""&gt;not &lt;/span&gt;repeal the Real ID Act. It does repeal provisions of the Real ID Act; those provisions that are included in Title II of the Real ID Act 2005.  The Real ID Act is still intact and is federal law.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul type="disc"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;The PASS Act contains many of the most      egregious aspects of the Real ID Act; including the requirement for a      digital facial image/photograph that will be mandated to be      internationally facial recognition compatible.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul type="disc"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;There is not a federal law that prohibits the      simultaneous use of CCTV/surveillance cameras and facial recognition      technology in real time.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul type="disc"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;The PASS Act will do nothing to provide a      higher level of National security.  Under the provisions of the PASS      Act the documents used to obtain a driver’s license are not      authenticated.  These documents are called “breeder” documents.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul type="disc"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;Although requirements for new databases and      the linking of databases are not part of the PASS Act the fact remains      through aamva.net and NLETS states can still have information contained in      their state Department of Motor Vehicles made available to both federal      and international law enforcement agencies without a court order. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 0.5in; line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul type="disc"&gt;&lt;li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;Two international agencies (AAMVA and the      ICAO, an agency of the United Nations) were involved in U.S. policy and      law - the Real ID Act 2005 and the newly proposed PASS Act.  DHS has      called AAMVA the “hub” and “backbone” of the Real ID Act.  On AAMVA’s      own web-site it proclaims it is an international organization that serves      law enforcement and motor vehicle administrators.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;!--[if !supportLists]--&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Symbol;font-size:10;color:red;"   &gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:&amp;quot;;font-size:7;"  &gt;        &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;!--[endif]--&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:14;"&gt;Both the &lt;span style="color:red;"&gt;Real ID Act&lt;/span&gt; and the &lt;span style="color:red;"&gt;PASS Act&lt;/span&gt; result in &lt;span style="color:red;"&gt;Americans being enrolled into a single global biometric identification system that links a person’s body to their ability to buy and sell.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;b style=""&gt;&lt;span style=";font-size:14;color:red;"  &gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;The &lt;b style=""&gt;Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs&lt;/b&gt; will be considering the legislation very soon. In the process we also began the fight for our Commonwealth's Sovereignty.  So for those of you who don't know or need a little refresher here is what happened.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We eventually got 2 resolutions one in the House (HJR 133, primary sponsor: Dottie Sims (D)) and one in the Senate (SJR 73, primary sponsor: Gary Tapp (R).) HJR 133 passed the House 100-0. However, SJR 73 did not make it out of the Senate Transportation Committee.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As a result of this campaign we were also able to get a Sovereignty Resolution introduced, in fact two of them. Both were in the House; HCR 168 sponsored by John Will Stacey (D), the other HCR 172 sponsored by David Floyd (R). However, neither of these made it out of the Elections, Const. Amendments &amp; Intergovernmental Affairs Committee.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our intent was to get 5 Bills regarding REAL ID introduced as well as the Sovereignty Resolution introduced, which was authored by Oklahoma State House Representative Charles Key (R). This is legislation he has been working on for quite sometime, well before Obama got in office. The other 5 Bills all dealt with other aspects of REAL ID, that are an infringement upon our civil liberties, state sovereignty as well as national sovereignty. These bills were provided by the Constitutional Alliance, they also have more bills however this was the amount we felt confident we could get done here in Kentucky.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Unfortunately as you can see that did not happen. However, the writing process took some time as to be expected with an issue this complex and so we did not have much time to act as this effort really only began in Kentucky in September of last year. So considering what was done in the short amount of time I consider last years efforts very worthwhile and will make things a whole lot easier in the upcoming 2010 session (let's hope there are no more "Special Sessions" between now an then.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is a little bit more of a refresher on REAL ID as some may have forgotten all the nuances or we may have some new people in the Liberty Movement we can share this information with. I am going to just give the basics as I don't want this to get too drawn out. For those who want more in depth information on this topic I suggest you visit www.stoprealidcoalition.com and peruse through their website and also download there action packet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So here are the basics:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1)      It violates the 1st Amendment - Freedom of Religion. This to many Christians is considered the next step toward the Mark of the Beast. Also the Amish or Mennonites are opposed to having their picture taken&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2)      It violates the 4th Amendment - Any and all information at DHS Discretion can be put on these cards either in the magnetic strip or eventually an RFID chip, normally the government needs a warrant for most of the information they want included on this. In addition they are collecting Biometric samples on citizens to create a Biometric Database. The method of choice is Facial Recognition through CCTV or surveillance cameras. This of course is what furthers the fear of the "Mark" as a mathematical algorithm is created based on your facial features to give you a number. Of course this is highly sensitive and the technology is no where near good enough because a beard, a smile or glasses can throw it off ultimately leading to mistaken identity by law enforcement.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3)      It violates the 10th Amendment - As of right now it is an unfunded mandate on the states from the federal government that can cost upwards to at least 22 Billion dollars, of course that is just the start up. The estimated cost for the state of Kentucky would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 Million Dollars. Of course the way the government is spending money they might just foot the bill...meaning us.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4)      It violates State and National sovereignty - The regulations pertaining to REAL ID is from the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) a UN affiliate. AAMVA (American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators) is also another international organization involved. This organization is American in name only, granted for the moment it is dominated by the states but that won't last long and will end up like the UN once this thing goes full scale world wide. This of course also fuels the fears of the "Mark" as this will include the entire world. Many thought the SSN was the "Mark"; it never could have been because it is a voluntary benefit program for US citizens only. Or at least it was supposed to be voluntary and for US Citizens only.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5)      One corporation (L1 Identity Solutions) has the contract with the states arranged by the Feds to implement the card, (the way this deal worked is a little tricky and to tell it would require this to be longer) There are also several other companies involved with this that have had several breaches in the past. Also much of the testing by L1 for REAL ID has either been rigged or the results have been falsified to make the success rate look better than it actually was. Several former government officials also have ties to this company.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6)      Centralization and linking of our data and databases making it easier to steal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;7)      The increased sharing of data between participating countries making it easier to steal. Any participating country could have access to our information in the name of security, like England, Canada, Russia, or China.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;8)      The variable security protocols in each country that may or may not be up to our standards thus increasing the chance of theft.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;9)      Not using the highest encryption technology to prevent coping of our data.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;10)  Increased surveillance - this part is so scary and to complex to explain in a short e-mail but there is a behavioral recognition being implemented, so don't get mad at the airport, or sweat too much. The program is called Hostile Intent.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;11)  This will not slow terrorism or illegal immigration as they will not register. Illegals or Terrorist are not going to be first in line at the DMV to give their information. On top of the inferior security protocols and the consolidation of our information it will only make it easier for them to obtain to use in the US.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now there have been some new developments in this that are entirely to complex to put in this e-mail as it is already getting lengthy. However, I suggest checking out www.stoprealidcoalition.com for more on that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This issue has garnered opposition from the likes of the ACLU and the ACLJ, and as our sponsorship of our legislation indicates this in not a Republican vs. Democrat issue but simply a Civil Rights issue. This idea has been around since the days of Regan who flat our rejected it. Clinton also did not sign off on it. Bush resurrected it and Obama is playing shell games with us on it. As you can see this administration and the last have taken this once Great Union far from what it once was.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now we begin the fight again, this time more prepared, with more experience, more people, and more time. Already Rep Stan Lee (R) a cosponsor last year of the Sovereignty Resolution has made it his own this year. That legislation is BR 54 AKA HCR 10. I am going to begin trying to get meetings with our legislators set up and sending out information. I would also like to get Mark Lerner from the Stop REAL ID Coalition back here again to help educate the public. So instead of us getting an education again I am asking if anyone knows an organization or a church that would be willing to listen to Mark for an evening to get the information out about this insidious infringement upon our liberties. Please keep in mind that Mark has expenses that will need to be covered, he makes no money on this and I will not invite him here until we have set venues for him to educate at. This will also have to be coordinated with his travels across the nation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For those of you who do not know who Mark Lerner is here his bio:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mark became an early proponent of biometrics as a tool in the war on terrorism. He became a confidant to the senior executives and board members in the biometrics industry to such an extent that brokerage houses had Mark discussing the future of biometric companies with their wealthiest clients (Some worth in excess of 100 million dollars!). All was going very well until Mark uncovered some disturbing biometric facts. He compiled a pool of evidence, what attorneys are calling "massive evidence", of corruption. Mark and the Stop Real ID Coalition have been working to expose these truths where the exposure will have the most impact; Washington D.C.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I will try and be more diligent in keeping everyone in the loop on what is going on and pass along information whenever I can. I look forward to working with anyone who wants to on this issue. I received a lot of help from everyone on this issue last year and I would like to thank everyone, but I would also like to recognize a few people. John Riley, Norm Davis, &amp; Charles Zoeller provided a lot of leadership and encouragement in this effort last year. We started off with a meeting in Frankfort in September with Mark Lerner from the Constitutional Alliance to help inform us on the issue. The meeting drew a crowd of nearly 60 concerned Kentucky citizens.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On November 20 Mark Lerner, Chris Southworth, John Riley, Richard Lewis, and Norm Davis met for 2 hours with several state legislators over the issue and presented model legislation that could be modified for use in Kentucky to block Real ID implementation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Members of TBK/C4L led by Chris Southworth have continued to meet with legislators. We’ve provided them with legislation and compelling information about why Real ID should not be implemented in Kentucky. Real ID not only is an unfunded federal mandate on the citizens of Kentucky, but it is also equivalent to a National and even International Identification Card using our state issued driver’s licenses.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We’ve had positive responses from most legislators and we hear most of them say "I could support this". NOTE: The Identification Security Enhancement Act (ISE) may be passed by Congress this year and repeal REAL ID, however it is only a bait and switch tactic. For those of you who do not know about this organization it is a National Alliance of organizations, legislators, and citizens across the country dedicated to preserving the Constitution, in particular fighting the REAL ID CONCEPT, NAFTA &amp;amp; NAFTA HIGHWAYS, NAU &amp;amp; SPP, &amp;amp; SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT/UN AGENDA 21.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Constitutional Alliance also has worked with both the ACLU and the ACLJ on fighting REAL ID. Right now the Constitutional Alliance is working in several states to implement anti REAL ID, anti SSN, anti Biometric, No federal interference in state agencies, Pro 10th Amendment Legislation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is the information the Constitutional Alliance is passing along for everyone to be aware of.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1) The Identification Security Enhancement (ISE) Act AKA S717 and H1117 (federal) from 2007, most likely these bills will have different numbers when legislation is in session this year. This bill is set to repeal REAL ID…but don't jump for joy. ISE basically disassembles REAL ID and puts it back together again with what looks like concessions but are really not considering they have been trying this since the 1980s. They just repackage it every time. This time they are allowing for a negotiated rule making process. So in order to show productivity and a bi-partisan effort in Washington this may be one of the first bills passed and signed into law. And as we saw with REAL ID it turned a little kitty cat into a Siberian Tiger through the rule making process, which is shorter this time allowing for slower reaction time on the States part. Once ISE is passed all the states that have passed anti REAL ID legislation but not the full cocktail as I described above that Constitutional Alliance has provided, will be VOID/USELESS. We need to be active in calling/e-mailing our legislators in Washington about this. We need to call Senator Akaka (D-HI) chair of the subcommittee that ISE will most likely be introduced in, he is also the likely sponsor for the bill. We also need to keep the pressure up on our own local legislators.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2) Right now the State that seems to be taking the lead in the REAL ID fight is Oklahoma. It is considered that they will not only file the Anti-REAL ID legislation but also the whole cocktail and pass it. So in the very near future we may be called upon to help take action in Oklahoma (Take Back Kentucky is apart of the CA) much like there was in Ohio with calls &amp;amp; e-mail concerning the Constitutional Convention. Once the first Domino falls it should be easier with the other states.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3) For those of you who are unaware of the recent Constitutional Convention (Con Con) event in Ohio (The CA, C4L, Eagle Forum, Freedom 21, APC are all opposed to this concept in our present political climate.) Look for those to start coming out in February. Mark also had an interview with Computer World, that article should come out very soon too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5) The CA is asking anyone for a Cannonball Idea to gain exposure for the anti-REAL ID movement. I forgot to ask about Lou Dobbs in the conference call but I imagine that it might not get attention until something major happens that the media can grab on to about REAL ID. But it can not hurt to call/e-mail Lou Dobbs in your spare time, remember we want PA State House Rep Sam Rohrer to come on the show and speak about the dangers of REAL ID.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6) There was also discussion of a government report issued by the National Intelligence Commission. The report refers repeatedly to globalism. Seamless borders are considered good versus securing our borders. The influence of international organizations and multi-national corporations on the reports is obvious and significant. I have fully read the report and protecting U.S. sovereignty is not part of the discussion. I cannot stress enough the fact a government agency produced the report to assist our government in setting policy. Right now the CA is working with several vendors to create a secure information transmittal hub for the states to use only no data is stored, in fact not all information is transmitted just enough for states to verify certain information better and satisfy the security concerns that many have in this post 9/11 world we live in. What was meant to be half hour presentation and discussion turned into a 2 hour meeting. The presentation was well received and at the end of the meeting these legislators were presented with 5 model bills that will hopefully get filed into committee and introduced for a vote. If this is to happen Kentucky will most likely be joining about 20 other states in filing this legislation. We have been handing out Stop REAL ID literature where ever we can raising awareness in the state. We have some bumper stickers available as well as copies of the meeting in Frankfort. We had a national media call in day for the Lou Dobbs Show on CNN to try and convince him to do some stories about the dangers of REAL ID and to have Pennsylvania State House Rep. Sam Rohrer on to talk about REAL ID. We have also reached out to State Sen. Perry Clark on the subject of introducing anti- REAL ID legislation in the Ky state Senate but right now he is in a tight race in his district so we have to wait and see after the election for the prospect. The Constitutional Alliance informs me that their will be anti-REAL ID legislation available for all who want it after a National Press Club meeting in Washington D.C. on the October 29, 2008 in which several organization and lawmakers will be present. Two such organizations include the ACLU and the ACLJ, I really hope this effort shines a light on the hidden dangers of REAL ID. I have also been able to obtain a copy of Oklahoma State House Rep. Charles Key's 10th Amendment Legislation; Norm Davis of Take Back Kentucky has tailored it fit Kentucky. Each threat operates with and connects to the other and is implemented by harmonization of regulations, contrived initiatives, and egregious laws such as the REAL ID Act of 2005 and the E-Passport.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Each Alliance member unequivocally supports each state's claim to sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment of the US Constitution; the alliance hereby serves notice and demands the federal government, as our agent, cease and desist all mandates that are beyond the scope of the constitutionally delegated powers contained in the Tenth Amendment, effective immediately.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The benefits to the Constitutional Alliance are:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;A greater impact can be achieved by coordinating efforts of each group's membership, exponentially increasing single group efforts.  &lt;strong&gt;These efforts include email, phone, and lobbying the media, public and elected leaders at the state and federal levels.  &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;Each group retains control and communication with their own members&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;Each member group's own initiatives/position is strengthened by the additional reinforcement of other Alliance members, who are in agreement that US sovereignty and states rights must be protected. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;Each group's memberships become more educated and knowledgeable concerning these threats to sovereignty. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;The members of this Alliance embrace those liberties considered most precious by all US citizens; therefore, this alliance can and should include all citizens regardless of political affiliation.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;Biometrics, the REAL ID Act 2005, the Trans-Texas Corridor, and the &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;SPP&lt;/span&gt;/&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;NAU&lt;/span&gt; are all parts of the global mechanism called Sustainable Development.  Together, the Alliance members can coordinate with others to expose and oppose these threats to liberty - and rise victorious!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:85%;"&gt;One thing to note there is no fee to join but donations are needed to help support the CA and the Stop Real ID Coalition. I must say that for some time I thought that this event was not going to happen and that I might be over my head in getting involved in this endeavor. After this I have gained a new appreciation for those that plan such events; I knew it was not going to be easy but I did not know how hard it was going to be.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I first got the opportunity to hear Mr. Lerner speak at a Freedom 21 Conference (which is a related topic but on a much broader scale that can not possibly be explained within this blog) in Dallas Texas in late July and afterwards had the opportunity to discuss with him the possibility of having him come here to speak. I felt this was very important for a litany of reasons as Real ID is very unconstitutional but also not much that in the way of opposition has been presented in Kentucky as well as our state government being one of the leaders in compliance.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mr. Lerner went into detail about how Real ID is an international violation of the US Constitution being perpetrated by the political elite here in the US and the world over. Most are told that this is a deterrent to illegal immigration, will stop identity theft, and a tool to help fight terrorism; when in fact it does none of these things. Many that do know about this think that at worst it is a National ID card and have become complacent in the 10th amendment being violated as over time the roles of the state and federal governments have reversed; however, it is not a National ID card but and international ID card. Those of us in attendance learned this and much more.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Before I continue I must also recognize that we did not just have independent citizens at this event but representation from Take Back Kentucky, The Family Foundation, Campaign for Liberty, and the Constitution Party. There was also representation from Constitutional camp called Camp American which is a summer camp program for kids that no only incorporate the normal fun activities you experience at a summer camp but the education on our Constitution and the foundation of the United States. Without these organizations this event would have never taken place in which there were about 50 in attendance; a very good number for this being done on such short notice.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mr. Lerner started off the evening briefly explaining what the Stop Real ID Coalition is and how it came about. This entails the decision by Mark to leave the Biometrics industry after learning what biometrics and the Real ID was really all about. Before Mark was an avid supporter and believer in biometrics being a tool in the war on terror. This coincided with his meeting up with another individual whose forte is privacy and property rights and being a true jack of his trade wishes for the most part to remain private (I believe I met him in Dallas, but he is more of a behind the scenes guy and after meeting them both Mark can defiantly make up for his co-founders shyness.) He then detailed a recent decision by some like minded people and organizations to fight the Real ID as well as a few other issues. From this meeting the Constitutional Alliance was formed and some of the founding members were the American Policy Center, OK-SAFE, Liberty Coalition, Stop Real ID Coalition, Freedom Advocates, OK State Rep. Randy Brogdon, PA State Rep. Sam Rohrer to name a few.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After this little intro Mark began to go into the facts about Real ID and biometrics and how it threatens our nation and our freedom.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Real ID was never actually passed in the bill created for it but was later attached to a Tsunami and Military Spending bill that did pass and so has become law through the back door and the rule making process at DHS has turned this into more than just a National ID. As Mark put it they turned a little Kitty into a Siberian Tiger.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Real ID in short violates the 1st, 4th, 5th, and 10th amendments to the US Constitution. The Real ID erodes State Sovereignty and the concept of Federalism as well as our National Sovereignty.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now I will give a brief overview but because of the complexity of the issue I want to make sure the facts are straight and make available at the bottom of the blog the Biometric Fact Sheets from the Stop Real ID Coalition.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We learned from Mr. Learner that this is not just a National ID system but an international ID system that is being implemented by international organizations such as the ICAO and AAMVA as well as international corporations such as Choice Point and L1-Identity Solutions. These international organizations have ties to political elites in this country like Ted Kennedy and George Tenant. Real ID calls for the elimination of the DLC (states) and replaces it with the DLA (international). The DLC is basically the sharing of certain vital information amongst states pertaining to driver’s license. The DLA is the international version but what makes it worse is that with Real ID it incorporates much more of your personal information (whatever the DHS Secretary deems) important enough to be on that card such as medical, financial, religious, political, sexual, etc. So as you can see this ID card has plowed right past State Sovereignty violating the 10th amendment but our National Sovereignty, but because of the all encompassing information required to be on this card it takes down the 4th amendment with it because there has been no warrant issued for this information with the requirements set forth in that amendment. But wait it gets worse, your biometric data is being collected through your driver’s license or CCTV and having you, your actual person enrolled in this global identification system. Not only that there is a program called hotel intent that works with facial recognition programs to determine if your facial expression may require the response of law enforcement even though no crime has been committed. So don’t get mad at the airport if your flight is delayed/canceled and your dealing with an impossible airline employee (most likely soon to be government employee.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now we have briefly covered how the 4th and 10th amendments are violated and now let’s get to the 1st amendment. This goes to religion and whether or not you believe in a GOD or that Christianity is right for you is not the issue; the issue is the violation to freely practice that religion and to not have your religious concepts violated by the government or any other entity or individual. If you look in Revelation Ch 13 of the Bible you will find the reference to the Mark of the Beast a concept most Christians oppose. Many thought the SSN back when it was issued was the Mark of the Beast but it clearly was not as the Mark of the Beast pertains to all citizens of the world; SSN did not, just US citizens for an enrollment in a government benefit program not an ID system (it has evolved to that to some degree but not the way Real ID will, but be on the look out for SSN legislation to implement this if Real ID fails because that process is already in the works.) The way this works is a mathematical algorithm is used based on facial features to assign you a number that is unique to you. Now I know that at some point 666 has to be implemented into this number and a few other criteria have to be met but due to the sophistication of today’s technology (RFID Chips) and the international nature of this program this is most defiantly a precursor to the Mark of the Beast. The main reasons Christians are opposed to 666 is that it will mean the end to having the ability to bring people to Christ and accepting a god on earth and not our Heavenly God which guarantees damnation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In regard to the 5th amendment, the one everyone claims not to incriminate themselves but there is more to it than that. The 5th also guarantees the right to Life, Liberty and the Property. This is also referred to in the 14th amendment also known as the due process clause but with all the regulations and standards on Real ID due process would be hard to claim it complies with as well as the other rights.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We also learned form Mark that these ID cards are not secure and that the biometric recognition is not even accurate (for more on that see the Fact Sheets in the Box. So our data can be stolen by terrorists, identity thieves or illegal aliens and it won’t even faze them. But making it worse we are linking up data bases that are not compatible causing error, putting our information eggs all in one basket and then sharing it not just with other states but other countries and the more time our info is shared the more likely it is to get stolen. A few other concerns with Real ID is if you don’t possess on your job status is dependent upon it because it is supposed to stop illegals from getting jobs but if just a 1% error occurs it is estimated to cost 650,000 Americans the opportunity to get a new job. With Real ID no federal business can be done (i.e. SSN, UI, Medicare, Welfare, VA etc.), no travel on air planes will be allowed and no entry into Federal Parks that our tax dollars paid for. And this is not an effort to stop terrorism as this has been tried several times like in the 80’s while Reagan was President but thank God he shot this idea down and again in 1994. So Real ID will not make us safer but interfere with and make our lives more complicated than ever before.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Real ID was supposed to be implemented on May 11th 2008 but thanks to the work of people like Mark and states like Montana, Oklahoma, and South Carolina putting up a fight on this we have forced DHS and Chertoff to issue a waiver for compliance until December 31st 2009, but we don’t want it because we have no intention on complying.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now at the end of the meeting Mark proposed helping us here in Kentucky get legislation the would fight Real ID, end our contracts with the main corporation working with our Transportation Cabinet and local DMVs, ending biometric collection for an ID system, putting a stop to any other legislation that calls for a National ID or an International ID as well as putting an end to interference from international organizations such as AAMV or ICAO. He gave us contact info for people and organizations in the Constitutional Alliance who have done this in other states and has contacted the ACLU and ACLJ two organizations normally opposed to each other to get legislators that would be open to opposing this involved in stopping Real ID here in Kentucky. So let’s get to work in putting this to an end here in Kentucky and take back our Liberty. Most likeely Tak Bakc Kentucky in conjunction with the Campaign for Liberty will have Mr. Lerner back here in Kentucky in January or Febuary for a longer stay and more meetings and meet with legislators and organizations opposed to Real ID. All was going very well until Mark uncovered some disturbing biometric facts. He compiled a pool of evidence, what attorneys are calling "massive evidence", of corruption. I got to hear from many active citizens on issues facing Kentucky and how we can take our state back. I was also able to speak about the Real ID and bringing Mark Lerner to the state to give a presentation and to begin the process of getting legislators involved to stop REAL ID in Kentucky. Everybody there was real receptive and understanding of the need to get rid of REAL ID and bringing Mr. Lerner to state. However the the short amount of time we had to put this together and the fact that it interfered with other planned events made it impossible to raise the money and get the involvement needed on such short notice. I would also have to concur with them that this was a long shot. So I decided to inform Mr. Lerner of the news and hopes of rescheduling for January when the state legislators will be in session. He was very understanding of the difficulties we were facing and so due to some changes in his plan he made this offer which is an abbreviated version of what he would like to do but it does lay he ground work for further opposition to REAL ID in Kentucky&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;My intention is to be in Frankfort, Kentucky on 7 September 2008.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At that time I will be able to provide the support of an alliance that is comprised of national groups/organizations, lawmakers and others to support the efforts of citizens in Kentucky to take back their state.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The assistance from the alliance will come in many forms. The alliance has the ability to mobilize ten's of thousand's of people and in reality many more. The alliance will assist Kentucky lawmakers with legislation that has a proven record of success in other states. The names of lawmakers in other states will be provided along with direct contact information in order that Kentucky lawmakers have a support network to assist them. The alliance will help with influencing the media. The alliance will also provide information that will prove beneficial to individual and groups in Kentucky to inform other Kentuckians on a variety of issues. The alliance will also have the ability to reach across both sides of the aisle to gather support. The alliance will be able to show the support the alliance has from any number ministries.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If upon my arrival I am not able to provide/show each of what is described is factually correct then no funding would be asked for in order to facilitate the trip to Frankfort.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We do ask that when coming to a state that it is appreciated we have a responsibility to all that have and are supporting our efforts to insure each state contribute to the financial needs required to continue to do what we have done. I have informed Chris we would come to Frankfort for $500. Providing everything in this letter as is I say I would expect the funding to be available prior to my leaving Frankfort.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If the people of Frankfort feel I do not live up to the standards/statements set in this letter they will be under no obligation to assist in any funding.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Please appreciate we do not disclose the membership of the alliance in advance of my arrival. The Stop Real ID Coalition is just one of many that comprise the alliance. I have a responsibility to insure that I am meeting with like minded people before discussing others in the alliance.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mark Lerner&lt;br /&gt;Co-founder Stop Real ID Coalition&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think this is doable and I am going to check on some places for this date. I got to listen to some very well informed speakers on the matters and the dangers it poses to our rights as US citizens, the security of our information and identity, our current system of having a Constitutional Republic (yes that is what we have not a Democracy) and our State sovereignty as well as our National sovereignty.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;The speaker I listened to on the Real ID a Mr. Mark Lerner for the "Stop Real ID Coalition." Here is some biographical information on Mr. Lerner:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;em&gt;Mark became an early proponent of biometrics as a tool in the war on terrorism. He became a confidant to the senior executives and board members in the biometrics industry to such an extent that brokerage houses had Mark discussing the future of biometric companies with their wealthiest clients (Some worth in excess of 100 million dollars!).&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;em&gt;All was going very well until Mark uncovered some disturbing biometric facts. He compiled a pool of evidence, what attorneys are calling "massive evidence", of corruption. Mark and the Stop Real ID Coalition have been working to expose these truths where the exposure will have the most impact; Washington D.C..&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;The team has created Model Legislation which is being implemented at the state level. &lt;/em&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;While in Dallas I got to have a good conversation with him about getting an effort started here in Kentucky to introduce legislation in our state prohibiting the Real ID. During this conversation I learned that there had been legislation introduced in both the Senate and House in Frankfort. But unfortunately it got stopped/lost in committee (can't imagine how that could of happened) and now is dead in the water. Over the past couple of weeks I have been corresponding with Mr. Lerner and gathering information. My only regret is that I did not meet him about a month earlier for I did not realize the strict time constraints he is on. He is on a 12 week tour across the country and he is currently at the halfway point, states he will visit include Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, &lt;strong&gt;Kentucky&lt;/strong&gt;, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland and finally &lt;strong&gt;Washington D.C.&lt;/strong&gt; just in time for the legislative sessions to start back up from vacation. Due to his strict schedule Kentucky will have to fit right in the middle which puts any visit at the end of August. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Mr. Lerner and his organization the "Stop Real ID Coalition" (SRIDC) goes around to states giving presentations on all the flaws of Real ID and how it is not in the interest of every Freedom loving American. SRIDC has the backing of several national organizations and just recently formalized an alliance of various groups from federal and state legislators, political action committees, veteran associations etc. SRIDC also has the backing of the ACLU and the ACLJ two organizations that usually represent two different ends of the political spectrum coming together to fight Real ID (so it must be bad if they are willing to put their differences aside.) &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;What I am hoping will happen is that there will be enough support form citizens here in Kentucky that the SRIDC will be able to come to Kentucky and give their presentation. Once I inform Mr. Lerner that there is he will contact the ACLU and ACLJ and have them arrange for some state legislators (most likely ones partial to the cause) to attend and to meet with him privately. SRIDC and Mr. Learner will spend several days in Kentucky before they head to Pennsylvania but this effort will only require an hour or so of your time on an evening yet to be determined but most likely some time between the dates 28th-30th of August (I want to see what the consensus is among those I have contacted). The meeting will be held here in Frankfort, I am still trying to find an available location, I have a few cheap to free ideas but as the time comes closer for this I will immediately shoot out an email as to where and when. Mr. Lerner will most likely make time in his schedule to meet with any concerned citizens that want to speak with him privately on this matter. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;The Basics as to why we need to oppose Real ID in Kentucky are: &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;1) It violates the 1st Amendment&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;2) It violates the 4th Amendment&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;3) It violates the 10th Amendment&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;4) It violates State and National sovereignty&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;5) One corporation (L1 Identity Solutions) has the contract with the states arranged by the Feds to implement the card.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;6) Centralization of our data making it easier to steal&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;7) The increased sharing of data between participating countries making it easier to steal&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;8) The variable security protocols in each country that may or may not be up to our standards thus increasing the chance of theft.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;9) Not using the highest encryption technology to prevent coping of our data.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;10) Increased surveillance – this part is so scary and to complex to explain in a short e-mail but there is a behavioral recognition being implemented, so don't get mad at the airport.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;11) This will not slow terrorism or illegal immigration as they will not register.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;12) The way the REAL ID works is it takes a biometric image of your face creates a mathematical algorithm based on your facial features and assigns you a number that is unique to you, this is not just your SSN and is a way of tracking you. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;To find out more about this and stop it in Kentucky this meeting needs to happen with your support. For those of you who think this is impossible all states were supposed to be compliant by May of this year but thanks to Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer basically told the DHS no way and what did they do give a waiver for all states until 12/31/2009. There area already about 10 states that have passed legislation prohibiting Real ID and about 10 more that has passed resolutions against it. I will also be seeking out on of the largest organizations in the state of Kentucky, "Take Back Kentucky" (this Saturday) and seeing how I can network and distribute information through them. Mr. Lerner is going to Washington D.C. in September and it would be nice to add Kentucky's voice and opposition to the Real ID while at the same time those legislators who have met with Mr. Lerner have been given the proper tools to implement legislation at the Capitol in Frankfort. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Of course there is one final obstacle and that is how much are each and every one of you willing to sacrifice to make this happen and to preserve the future of this country not just for your self but for your children and to be that beacon of freedom the world over has come to rely on and is now dangerously on the edge of becoming something different. With the growing centralization of power in Washington D.C. we can not always rely on our leaders being benevolent, the responsibility is on us to do that. While I hesitant to ask this, especially in these hard economic times when everybody is so concerned about gas and groceries but I need to raise $1500 to cover the expenses of SRIDC to come to Kentucky and Washington D.C. (because nobody wants him there.) He will be giving us the tools here to fight this in Kentucky and going to bat for us up on Capitol Hill. He can't do this for free or on his own dime or he and SRIDC would go broke. Remember Freedom is not free and is dependent upon how much you are willing to fight and sacrifice for it. I always thought surly someone somewhere is doing something about the problems and issues that face us in this world and well while in Texas I found myself having to be that person, me and my father were the only people from Kentucky to hear this message and we had to bring it back to the citizens of Kentucky. So now the opportunity comes to you to be that someone doing that something that someone else is relying on you to do to keep this country as we now know it. Whenever Freedom has been threatened the American People have stood up and fought for it and ladies and gentleman whether you realize it or not that time is quickly approaching. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;So I am asking you to tell your friends, family and co-workers about this, raise awareness for time is short. I am asking you to please give whatever you can but remember the more people you tell the less it will cost on everybody. For the moment I am asking for money in the range of $25-$50 dollars. You don't have to give to attend or attend to give, or you can do both too. I don't want anyone to feel pressured but this can not get off the ground without networking, knowledge, time and funding. Payments can be made to a Mark Lerner or a Wal-Mart money order can be set up.
